Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic-based IDA is the largest aluminium extruder in the Caribbean, producing solid and non-solid aluminium profiles for domestic customers and export markets throughout Central and North America. In addition to its extruding facilities, it has a coatings line and research and development facilities. It is planning to expand its extrusion capacity to 30,000tpa and its billet blasting to 40,000tpa by 2015.
CEEM FZE is a United Arab Emirates-based specialist equipment fabricator and delivers a range of products and services for oil and gas service companies, contractors and operators in the global oil and gas sector. Its core product range includes advanced hydraulic workover rigs essential for drilling operations. It also supplies towers, tanks and other components, and provides contract water jet and CNC plasma cutting, machining, grit blasting and painting services.
Energetic Oilfield Services (Exited)
Based in Dubai, the company acquires advanced hydraulic workover units and ancillary equipment for oil and gas service companies, contractors and operators in the global oil and gas sector. Energetic Oilfield Services has expanded its business model to allow its customers access to equipment on a lease or rental basis. The company has been part of Black Pearl Capital group since 2009.
EJRE delivers solar and wind renewable power solutions to businesses, state power companies and utilities throughout the Middle East and North Africa. Based in Amman, Jordan, the company is currently developing solar power projects totalling 200MW and wind energy projects totalling 500MW. It applies a combination of renewable technologies, including solar photovoltaic (PV), concentrated solar power and wind turbines.
Headquartered in Toronto, Black Sands Mining is a mining company that prospects for, extracts, processes and refines alluvial gold using the latest production technologies and techniques. It is currently actively mining in Ghana and Ecuador. Its concessions in Ghana have a measured mineral resource at more than 250,000 ounces of gold, and a production capacity to process 3,000tph of ore. The operation in Ecuador is a joint project with ENAMI, the National Mining Company of Ecuador.
Ennovor Group collects waste oil and oil residue and refines it into high quality, advanced biofuels that are used across the transport, marine, plant and machinery, and industrial/domestic heat and power sectors. Headquartered in Singapore, its operations span Europe and Asia with refineries in the UK and Spain. Ennovor Group manages the waste oil collection supply chain, refines, blends and tests, before delivering to end-users. A Black Pearl Capital company since 2009, the business was sold to a Dubai based investment firm in November 2014.
Launched in 1985 and headquartered in Kennewick, Washington State in the USA, Infinia provides renewable energy solutions to businesses, consumers and public sector customers. Its renewable energy solutions include solar and biomass fuelled combined heat and power (CHP). Infinia’s product range features unique, patented solar concentrators and Stirling engines to provide grid quality AC electrical power. The company was sold to Qenergy in November 2013.
Marathon Resources is a mining company focused on prospecting for and extracting gold, copper, uranium and iron oxide mineral resources in the Australian states of South Australia and Victoria. Based in Eastwood, South Australia, it is currently prospecting for iron ore deposits, lead, zinc and silver, and is undertaking further field research into its portfolio of mineral sands projects. Black Pearl Global Opportunities Fund (BPGOF) exited this investment entirely in 2013.
Black Pearl Real Estate (BPRE)
BPRE is a property holding and real estate business operating throughout the USA, UK, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Hong Kong. A wholly owned subsidiary of Black Pearl Capital and its partners, BPRE manages all of its parent company’s real estate investment assets and transactions. BPRE continues to source deals and development opportunities for Black Pearl Capital.
Castleford Energy Village is a mixed-use energy park development in West Yorkshire, UK. When complete, the site will feature a range of resource recovery and fuel preparation facilities, including recycling and biomass electrical power generation onsite. A former industrial site, the development will focus on land remediation, so that additional mixed-use commercial and industrial development can take place. The resulting developments will be sustainable and link closely with the nearby Castleford town centre.
New York-based Summit Equities is a real estate property development financier. It specialises in acquiring performing and non-performing debt from lenders and in providing funding for property transactions in the New York area.
Sasse Facility Management Jordan provides a wide range of property and infrastructure management, maintenance and repairs services to business and public sector customers across the Middle Eastern and North African region. Headquartered in Amman, Jordan, the business is a franchise operation adopting the hugely successful Sasse Facility Management model developed in the UK and Germany.
Dubai-based Propertyfinder.ae is the United Arab Emirates’ leading property portal featuring commercial and residential properties to buy or rent. Owned and operated locally, the business typically has over 50,000 properties listed at any time for potential buyers and renters. The site is also the leading advertising platform for real estate agencies.
Based in Florida, Bond Street Holdings is a bank holding company. Its wholly owned subsidiary Florida Community Bank was purchased by Bond Street Holdings Inc, a Miami-based holding company with over $740 million in capital. The acquisition allowed the new Florida Community Bank to leverage its name and presence throughout the state of Florida.
Through acquisitions and organic growth, Florida Community Bank continued to expand its branch network and now services three of the top four largest Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSA) in Florida; Orlando, Miami and West Palm Beach.
In addition to the purchase of Florida Community Bank, Bond Street Holdings also acquired seven additional Florida-based banks which include Premier American Bank, Peninsula Bank, Sunshine State Community Bank, First National Bank of Central Florida, Cortez Community Bank, Coastal Bank and First Peoples Bank. The eight acquired banks have joined together and now form the Florida Community Bank.
